make up haul!

hi everyone!

made a trip to the good mall today for some makeup. here’s what I snagged:

urban decay naked skin foundation (in 0.5)

I actually wanted the urban defense tinted moisturizer, but Sephora doesn’t sell that—guess I’ll have to order it online! we’ll see how this goes. I plan to mix it with my bareMinerals mineral veil powder. also, it’s vegan!

urban decay 24/7 concealer pencil (in CIA)

the woman at Sephora told me this was “the best” when I was checking out. we shall see! I haven’t bought concealer in a long time, but I do generally prefer pencil/stick varieties. the last one I bought was from Target and I can’t even remember the brand. it worked okay, but dried out really easily. this product is also vegan (woo hoo, urban decay!)

benefit they’re real beyond mascara

after finding out that this is what beauty blogger Zoella uses, I was sold. when I got home, I applied it over my existing mascara (a sample size of clinique high impact mascara) and I could see the dramatic difference immediately. I’m already super happy with this purchase—I can’t wait to see what it looks like on its own!

tarte lipsurgence lip stain (in enchanted)

I got a mini one of these as a sample from Sephora a while ago and it’s been my absolute favorite ever since! it has a slight minty tingle and is sheer and fairly long-lasting. love love love. plus, tarte products always smell good.

as per my weekly Lucky Mag e-mails, one of the ones I received last week was a gem (literally!)

modern 14k black gold three stone pink sapphire - $2,499

I’m more a fan of the black gold than the pink—it’s a bit jarring.

plus, they sortof remind me of Kat Von D’s (totally amazing) custom engagement ring, no?

some of the settings are impeccable, can’t deny that, but I don’t think they’re quite for me (at least not for an engagement ring—and I doubt I’ll ever have the budget to buy one for fun!) but they’re certainly eye-catching and modern.

pink sapphires aren’t so bad in a ring, I must say.
